From a Roman prison Paul remembered rightly how much the church of Philippi meant to him. Despite the societal pressure to worship the emperor and his many gods the Philippians not only supported Paul financially but shared in being a light to the world. Due to God’s saving power Paul tells the church he is confident they will remain faithful until Christ returns.
