In Romans 12:3-19 Paul talks about the church being one family of God. The foundation of any healthy family is one in which Jesus Christ is the head of the church. The Lamb who was slain alone is worthy of our praise and allegiance. At McKees Mills Baptist Church we truly do love each other and build each other up in the faith! This truly is a gift that God has given our church that needs to be celebrated. That being said, we as a church want to never forget the sign posts of unity. Whenever conflict raises its ugly head we need to protect the bonds of peace inside of the church by reminding ourselves Jesus Christ is the head of the church. Our love for each other must be sincere and we truly do need to make room for one another. This means spending time with each another so that we will know when others are hurting and in turn can help them. We are also to love those who do not love us. There will always one or two people who choose to be your enemies but that does not justify you making them your enemies. Instead love them and do good deeds for them so that they might: become ashamed of their hatred towards you, so that they might confess their sins, so that they might be forgiven.
